The Lack Of Loss

In the deepest hole on the ground

I found nothing but endless misery.

It's not mine to take

but I feel like I missed it.

I missed it for a lifetime

full of indifference and fear.

The fear of feeling.

The fear of sharing my thoughts.

Now, the lack of pain arises.

The lack of memories.

The lack of sadness.

How can you have someone feel

If he never had the need for it?

How can you expect your son to say I love you,

When you never even tried?

A son who doesn't care, you say.

But a son who never learned how to.

sad poetry
