The chill of the air hits you when you step out the front door.

White icy crystals cover the grass, leaves, and your windshield.

The cold sun blinds you as you step onto the slick porch.

Steam from your hot chocolate rises from your travel mug.

Red birds chirp in the slumbering trees.

Your cream fuzzy sweater traps the heat as you step toward your car.

The pale pink scarf guards your neck while it moves with the breeze.

You see your breath when you get into your frigid car.

You turn on the engine, hoping the day will warm up as you drive to work.
