The Kiss

when lips spoke what words could not

The Kiss

It was not loud,

not a firework,

but a quiet implosion—

two worlds folding

into each other.

The weight of your lips

told me everything

your voice never dared.

I tasted

both beginning and ending,

as if summer itself

was trapped between us.
