Keep them in fear

That's always best for them.

Find something new

that will really test 'em.

*

Keep them all occupied

with things that are bad,

while we get filthy rich

from thier tears and hard graft.

*

Keep all the gold

locked away in our vaults,

then tell them we're broke

while we beg them for votes.

*

Keep them divided

by dripping out lies.

When these fools are distracted

they won't see our crimes

*

We are the keepers

and you're just the bees.

So keep feeding us honey,

then bow to our king!

    Nice Simon Aylward

  • Gosh, this is soooo true! Loved your poem. There's a small typo in this line: "from thier tears and hard graft."
