The Kaleidoscope
The story or me.

When you love someone,
let them go.
Trust that they will return,
to the flow.
Surrender to the moment,
like it’s my last;
Love has no bounds,
it’s all a contrast.
Each moment a reflection,
the colours shine;
A dance of these colours, intertwine.
It could be yellow; it could be green;
It could be all the colours of the rainbow, and every other colour in between.
I dance in my heart,
to their vibrational tunes;
Creating grand castles or devastating runes.
It is neither black; nor neither white.
It is the iridescent colour;
between the day and the night.
A kaleidoscope of reflection,
in each face I see;
I meet the colour that they give best:
a mirror I shall be.
Each face but sees a reflection of themselves.
As I pull their book of colour, from the ancient shelves.
Our darkness shines, intensely bright;
And through our reflection, it evolves into light.
The kaleidoscope is witnessed, and life explodes again, the heart dance is over, as the colour turns and blends.
As the colour shifts and memories fade, a new heart dance begins.
A dawning of a moment: a new lover held within.
As shadows fade and the laughter’s fall,
You begin to remember the words, of the distant call
Each moment a reflection,
the colours shine;
A dance of these colours, intertwine.
It could be yellow; it could be green;
It could be all the colours of the rainbow, and every other colour in between.
So, when you love someone,
yes, allow them to be free.
As each wave of colour,
makes up a part of me.
