The frigid embrace of winters coming
Sunlight drowned by the earths heavenly tilt
Days shorten as shadows creep ever longer
The warm blooded shiver and their breath becomes like that of a cigarette smoker exhaling after a long drag
Then comes the frost and snow and sleet
Coating the world in a wondrous layer of white like a blanket of fluffy powdered sugar
Children rejoice and parents grumble
Plows plow and shovels shovel
Cars slip and slide and scrape and crash and bash
White snow becomes brown sludge and then black water pouring through the streets
At least the homeless are inside sheltering from the cold so there are are fewer dead bodies clogging the drains than normal
