The Joy of Flora and Fauna Watching
Is so enriching

That autumn morning,
after breakfast,
me and little son
set out to do what we love most,
neighborhood walks.
We followed the dirt trail
and sat under a sycamore
to survey our stunning vista.
There was so much
to grab attention,
cheer, amuse, inspire.
The boy at 3 is ready
to imbibe ocean of knowledge,
and he is fond of biology
just like the mother.
We saw tumbleweed on the clay hills.
I told him it’s invasive
and iconic of the Southwest,
soon gusty wind will blow,
and they will roll on the streets.
And as if to reward us more,
a roadrunner appeared,
it lingered
as it looked for lizards.
Watching flora and fauna
in the natural habitat,
in own neighborhood,
feels like heaven.
We came back home,
with the enriching experience,
elated, and wondered,
what we will see next.

You and your children have some wonderful times together. One day they will look back and be very proud of you 🌺🌺🌺🌺
You two had quite the adventure and even as the world is now you can still have moments that are great and God sent.
