Mother and Little Son Poem

Straight from the heart

Oh my little son,

when I hold you in my arms,

my problems vanish.

I feel a plunge in my wrath,

song flow from my mouth,

everything looks beautiful.

Your cherubic face,

your glowing eyes,

give me purpose, and resolves,

to keep making good choices,

to stay away from vices.

What a blessing you are,

a nook so sacred

in a filthy world,

one that often makes life hard.

My precious son,

you make life fun.

One gaze at you,

and my heart soars like a bird.

Stay kind and curious,

keep being smart and fabulous,

cheerful and happy,

that’s Mommy’s therapy.
