And in that moment...

And

in

that

moment

there

fell

a

hush.

The rain and hail of humanity,

silenced

by

the

rousing

pulse

of carnality

drumming

A

new,

unwavering,

tune.

Alive again.

Sentient.

Shallow

in

breath,

yet racing.

The scald of its insecurity

soothed

in

the calm

of

a

gaze.

A balm

of

hope

for a life

uncaged.

The air

taut,

a loaded gauntlet,

brave

with

adventure.

Promising

pathways through mountains

up to

stepping stone

summits

eagerly

lining up,

to lead,

through a wilder place.

Where

white water

rages,

tears,

grasps,

and

arrests

every

breath.

Stealing

the stubborn

remains

of

uncertain

whispers.

Leaving

nothing

but

the

freedom

to

roar.

A tempestuous

din

of feral

fever and pitch

cascading

into echoes

of requited

longing.

Reverberating

around

in circles

of ever increasing

quiet.

Tethering us

in an

always

and forever

tenderness.

Bedded,

within

a

solitary

moment

of

hush.

About the Creator

Caroline Jane

CJ lost the plot a long time ago. Now, she writes to explore where all paths lead, collecting crumbs of perspective as her pen travels. One day, she may have enough for a cake, which will, no doubt, be fruity.
