The Hues of Us

By CeliseBuckley

Homosapians

A miscellany of pigments and textures Each of us having four chambers inside our cardiovascular system

Within our bodies we hold an ever connecting linage of the same viscous crimson in our veins

The facet of our flesh sacks is simply the vehicle of the celestial energy we call our souls

Yet within many minds the majority holds judgment in a biased court, a court that has no pillars yet these collective misguided conclusions change the perception of complexion and create a fetter for melanin

We are more then just an epidermis, the true hues are weaved within the inner mechinations of our minds unfortunately ugly shades of false preconceptions stain the ones deemed unconventional

We all paint the same Cerulean tinted compassion and we are all capable of the same chartreuse toned jealousy

But we are not just colors, we shouldn’t reduce an individual’s disposition due to a fictitious compartmentalization

Because inside we’re all a Pollychromatic mess
