The House of Corridors
in the realm of dreams
By Willow CindersPublished 3 years ago • Updated 3 years ago • 1 min read

A little girl trapped in a house
Of winding corridors and trap doors
A tunnel filled with teddy bears and dolls
Leads to the gutted interior
Of an old apartment building
Made of only stairs and platforms
Covered in vines and moss
Where doors lead to infinity rooms
Tunnels of endless light
Trapped until someone else takes her place

She can see outside, but cannot leave.
Through a passageway,
She finds a secret garden
Hidden between rooms
Filled with spherical pastel flowers
In a ring of mushrooms, she twirls
Transforming into a woman
Finally at peace with this corner of forever.

Even in the waking world
She's never far away
From that strange home
Where she can escape
To find solace in the realm of dreams.
