The hour glass, a representative of time. It has indispensable connections with work, stress, punctuality, organisation, appointments and essentially, stress.

Like it or not, we cannot do without it.It serves as a guide that we cannot do without.

An hour glass, broken and worn

Its sides old and cracked

By hours of hosting sand well shorn

Sides of the glass too well-pressed

By sand forever in a hurry

Its base weighed down by stress

Sand drips down to a constant tap

Always in good time

Hardly takes a nap

The sand in the glass

Neatly sorted grain

As per clarity and class

The sand moves to other side

In time to meet time and date

And to their needs abide

The glass that will forever be

Life's less affirmed guide

Glass will not set life free

From the hours that it must see.
