The Horizon

Yearning

By Ria Published 4 years ago 1 min read

Adventure/ Freedom / She yearns for that which she sees on the horizon/ The wind wisping her name in her ear / She wants the feel of the open sky above her / She wants to look up / The stars and all the clouds peering around her / Feel the warmth of the ground beneath her not like before

But she yearns for this with you / What good is it to have the horizon in lonesome / Alone in your grasp watching stars fade/ Seeing clouds dissipate

Her hands flourish in tall fields/ Thrumming through the weeds like magazines/ Picking through clouds as if she could reach up and touch them.

She yearns for her horizon / Fields that bloom Hawthornes and Morning Glories / Clouds that look like nothing and everything

Yearning for things just out of reach is her specialty/ With years of practice/ The wait isn't all too bad / To yearn with you by her side / The horizon/ Freedom and adventure just in front of her/ They don't seem so far
