The Horizon

Every day of my upbringing, I would gaze out at the ocean,

My mind venturing into the realms beyond the sea's motion.

A whole world, distinct from my own, beckoned me to explore,

Opportunities aplenty awaited beyond the horizon's shore.

My imagination would soar unrestricted,

Contemplating where life's journey might have me directed.

Distant lands and cities yearned for my arrival,

An entire universe, uncharted, tempting my survival.

Beyond the horizon lay mysteries unknown,

As I matured, this realization gradually shone.

The world I once envisioned harbored others, akin to me,

Sitting by the shore, pondering what lies beyond the sea.

Curiosity ignited in their hearts, just as it did in mine,

Exploring the infinite possibilities beyond the horizon line.
