The comedian's dark grin

flashes across his face

wry, sharp, and knowing

because he's in on a secret

life's black comedy...

All it takes it a different angle

another way of looking

at the world

to see what others don't know

and yet its really right in front of their faces.

The ability to cross conventionality

and discover non-linear places

is a the promise

of uncomplicating life

for when you can step

from one timeline to another

what is there to hold you back

in this space?

I take in that Joker's

crazy grin

the sound of that's life

playing in the background

a joke you won't get

unless you're willing

to let go

of what holds you in place.

Step out of the limitations

binding you down

and let go of the conventions

that tell you how to go around...

Do you experience this world

or are you just going through the motions.
