The Heavenly Bridegroom and His bride

I walk as His bride, down the aisle of fire.

"The Narrow Way" By Steffany Gretzinger

One step, one step.

The narrow way.

The crunch of grass.

A lonely place.

Though I know

That the One I love

Waits for me.

...

Light, bright.

My sight beseeches me

To search out the One

I want to reach.

...

He is close, never far,

My North Star,

My Morning Gaze.

My sun rises and sets with Him.

...

Two steps to step.

His fire burns up my shame.

Watch it fall.

Cinders and ash,

Bones and skeletons,

All the ones who did not make it.

My former tormentors.

...

Sheepishly I gaze at Him.

For His love was spelled out

When He died for me

Before I even knew.

...

When I began this journey,

My heart was cold.

But His light warmed me,

Now Love is all I know.

To breathe like Him

Is to be truly free.

To be with Him

Is my eternity.

...

For He is my Bridegroom

And King.

So I walk as His bride,

Down the aisle of fire.
