The Heaven We Could Create

We walk through streets with blinded eyes,

While nature's beauty slowly dies,

The trees that breathe, the rivers that cry,

We turn away and let them lie.

The animals cry, but we're too blind,

To hear their pleas, to ease their minds.

We chase our dreams with selfish might,

Unaware of creatures' silent plight.

We hurt each other with words and deeds,

Feeding our hunger, ignoring their needs.

In this world, hearts are cold as stone,

Forgotten is the love we've never shown.

But if we cared, just a little more,

If we opened hearts, if we opened doors,

The world would glow with light and grace,

A heaven born from love’s embrace.

For when we choose to care, to heal,

The wounds of earth will slowly seal.

The sky will clear, the rivers sing,

A world reborn, a peaceful spring.

So let us start, let love take flight,

And turn this world to pure delight.

For if we care, with every breath,

We'll find a heaven, here, in death.
