The Heat Wave Of 2025
Heat presses in
today will climb to 30 degrees
the air is thick,
like it’s holding me down
no breeze moves
the sky feels heavy and close
the night was into 20’s
but I barely touched sleep
my mind spun, restless
body aching to lie still
but the heat won’t let me
I toss and turn, sweat sticking to skin
the world feels slow
and loud inside my head
breathing is heavy work
each moment drags
the sun beats harder
no relief comes
only the weight of this slow burning
I pray for rain
for cool drops to fall
to wash this heat away
to break the silence of sweat
and restless nights
bring the sky alive with sound
let the earth breathe again
let me breathe again

Your weather is the same as mine clear across the pond and another half country. 80 degrees at 6AM to 94 and above by noon and humid to boot. I can not wait for the cool and cold of fall and winter but here it will probably only go down to the 50's and 60's

Imagine, I was pregnant, vising India, and it was 47 degree C. Human body is not made to survive that much heat.
