In mid-September
The crisp air kisses my check
With autumn's love song
The cold brings desire
A slow light to the fire's burn
A passion ignites
Leaves fall from the trees
And yet - below the surface
The earth still nurtures
Life begins again
During the rains of springtime
Before summer's song
