The Heart That Found Yours
I wandered without anchor,
Lost between past and pain,
Unsure of where to place,
The pieces of my soul.
Then you appeared like morning,
Quiet but full of light,
Your presence shaped a comfort,
My spirit didn’t know.
You listened without judgement,
You saw beyond my guard,
You understood the cracks,
That others chose to miss.
Your laughter warmed the hours,
Your silence healed my fear,
You eased my heavy memories,
With the gentleness you gave.
My heart began to open,
Slow as a rising tide,
Yet steady in its motion,
As it moved toward yours.
You taught me how to stay,
You taught me how to trust,
And in that quiet lesson,
I learned who I could be.
Now every day feels fuller,
Now every night feels safe,
Because the heart I once lost,
Found its place in yours.

I've been writing poetry since the age of fourteen. With pen in hand, I wander through realms unseen. The pen holds power; ink reveals hidden thoughts. A poet may speak truth or weave a tale. You decide. Let pen and ink capture your mind❤️

We should all feel like we could find a person like this. Good job.
