The Heart and Mind of a Traveler

it's not as much the life

of traveling that I like so much,

as it's the living and breathing

of traveling that I like so much.

it's the not being able to have

anything else on my mind

unless it has to do with

which place I'm going to visit next,

or which city I'm going to explore.

it's not as much the money

I'd need to satisfy those

future explorations

as it's the idea of

being able to feel the

fresh air of a new city,

meeting the fresh faces

of a new city,

or even seeing the new locations

that I'd get to explore.

it's not as much as the life

of traveling that I like so much,

as it's the idea that I can escape;

the idea that I can step off into

a new destination

and forget all about my life back home,

as I enjoy my time in a whole new place.
