The Haunting Of Car 17 - A Glimpse Of Hope Or Holy War?

Part 7 - A Collaboration With Sharon

By Kelli Sheckler-AmsdenPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

Then Something arose out of the mist

The sweetest sound across the breeze

The holy bells of the cathedral lifts

Spreading hope amidst the trees

For the first time in 100 years

The veil black had been transcended

Did this portal open to end the fear

Mere expectation was suspended

For face to face stood love and hate

The conductor and the stranger

To trust him may be a mistake

Did he bring hope or differing danger

The demons crawled from beneath every car

To mark the field for impending death

Each bragging about their battle scars

Offering the conductor their last breath

At this, the stranger lifted up

Floating above, exposing his authority

But where did this power derive from

Salvation or conspiracy

Hehehehehehehe conspiracy maybe? Lol. Waiting for the next part!

  • Makes me think of Carmen's "The Champion". A boxing match between Christ & Satan. In the final round Christ drops his gloves, allowing the Devil to deliver the knockout blow. Christ lands on the mat as the Devil celebrates..., until the official begins to count down from 10, rather than up.

Your poems and stories are always so compelling in so many ways. Good job.

Hopefully it’s salvation! Conspiracy’s are crazy! Great work!
