(The first line of this poem is taken from The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock by T S Eliot)

Let us go then, you and I,

Walk side by side and hand in hand.

Step by step we find our path

In lock-step we side-step each rock

In our way.

We spy an ash tree by a pond

So we stop, and sit, and wait for now.

A leaf, or two, some red, some gold

To pick up, to save, to keep

As a love note.

The hot sun will soon pass over

The days less long and full;

We skip and trip our way down the road,

See weed gone to seed as time turns,

And we live and love.

And so we go then, you and I

Down the road we have made.

We sing a new song of life, love and loss,

Tell our tale to all who will hear:

With love, we can be free.
