Psalm 89:9-12 NIV

You rule over the surging sea; when its waves mount up, you still them. [10] You crushed Rahab like one of the slain; with your strong arm you scattered your enemies. [11] The heavens are yours, and yours also the earth; you founded the world and all that is in it. [12] You created the north and the south; Tabor and Hermon sing for joy at your name.

You’re Walking through

A valley

Barefoot

Hot sand between

Your toes

The pain

It takes hold

You pray

For the strength

To get through.

You want answers

To

The questions

You had

Never thought

You would have

To ask

A road you

Never thought

You would

Have to take

A path

Painful

But you

Learn to

Move with grace.

You’ve learned

To pray through

The storms

Shaken

To the core

You’ve found

That Jesus

Carries you

Through the

Storm.

I really like how this captures the feeling of struggle but also finding strength through faith. The imagery is strong, and the message of being carried through tough times is powerful. Very moving!
