The Hands and Feet
Inspirational Poetry

Our Lord has no body here but ours. No hands, no feet on earth but yours. We are the eyes through which He looks with compassion on this world. We all have different functions. “Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” (1 Peter 4:10)
We are the
Hands and feet
The vessels chosen
To serve others
A calling
A gift
Perhaps something more!
We get far more
Than we receive
Through
The works
Of his Grace.

We all have
Something we can
Give
Big or small
A smile
A kind gesture
A word
To lighten
The darkest
Of hearts.

Prayer can
Move mountains
It only takes
Faith the size
Of a mustard seed
And that mountain
Will move
If only we believe.
Perhaps not always
In the direction we
Want
Because he knows
Far better than us
What we need.

There is evil
In this world
Forces of darkness
Fighting to take
Away the light
But we have the
Power
To say no
This isn’t right!

So always
Remember
We are the
Hands and feet
The light in the darkness
And act accordingly!

The world does not need more Christian literature. What it needs is more Christians writing good literature.
