The Goodbye Hug
The bittersweet comfort of a farewell hug.
By Skitt HugPublished 6 months ago • 1 min read

A simple hug, so soft, so warm,
A fleeting calm amidst the storm.
No words are spoken, yet hearts do say,
The love that lingers as we part today.
Your arms around me, a gentle hold,
A story shared, a bond untold.
In that embrace, the world stands still,
A moment etched by heart and will.
It’s not farewell, not truly so,
For love remains where we must go.
Though paths may part, and time may race,
This hug will live, a cherished space.
The goodbye stings, yet hope takes flight,
For journeys end where hearts unite.
And till we meet, this hug shall be,
A bridge of love, 'tween you and me.
