The Goodbye

We once held hands, intertwined in a web of love,

But now our paths have taken us far away.

Our eyes meet one last time, brimming with tears,

And we know that soon there will be no more us.

I can feel my heart breaking as I let go,

A deep sadness settling inside me.

Every part of me aches to stay,

But still you slowly merge into the horizon.
