The Glamorous Illusion β¨π
The Price We Pay to Shine ππ°
In this world of style and grace,
Where luxury brands set the pace,
We strive to shine and leave our trace,
For the world to see and embrace.
Expensive brands, they call our name,
With promises of glamour and fame,
We're lured in by the glitz and fame,
And the dreams of a life without shame.
But oh, the price we pay to shine,
A life of debt, and a soul confined,
To the shallow depths of our mind,
A cruel illusion, to which we're blind.
For every purse, and every shoe,
We sacrifice a dream that's true,
And in our quest to be brand new,
We forget the worth of what is due.
So let us break this vicious spell,
And bid this shallow life farewell,
For in the end, we cannot sell,
Our soul, our dreams, or our true self.
The true glamour lies within,
A soul that shines from deep within,
And though we may not win,
Our hearts will know, we're free again.
So let us shed this shallow shell,
And chase our dreams, let's do it well,
For in the end, we'll surely tell,
A tale of life, a tale that's real.
Twist
But wait, let's not be too quick to judge,
For some, the brand is more than a grudge,
It's a symbol of hope, a symbol of love,
A story of triumph, a gift from above.
For those who've fought and climbed their way,
Through life's hurdles, day by day,
The brand is more than a display,
It's a trophy of their hard-earned pay.
So let us not be too quick to scorn,
Or judge those who've proudly worn,
The brand, that to them, has sworn,
A life of pride, a life reborn.
For in the end, we all must choose,
What path to take, what life to pursue,
And though we may not always amuse,
Our heart will know, the path that's true.
