The Gift of Learning and Love

Compassion in the classroom

By Rohitha LankaPublished 10 months ago 1 min read

A ship without oars…

The sails are torn..

The ship without oars is sunk…

And soon the sun is dark….

Feeling great sorrow….

Loneliness is coming….

And another tear is shed….

And the boat is given……

The moon is shining……

The sky is shaped……

The sorrow that rises from the heart is captured

The strings that are spent in separation are softened

The places that hurt with poetry are polished…..

And the water is washed away…

The river of God……

Sailing through loneliness

Is far away…

The comfort is far away

The thoughts are gone

The river is deeply disturbed

The thoughts are deeply shaken

The thoughts are drawn on the eyes

Every evening….

Well-wrought! The image of a boat lost at sea is an excellent symbol of the lost soul who wonders and wanders.
