The Fury Within

Deep within our souls, there lies

A fury that we try to hide

An anger that can paralyze

And fill our hearts with pride

It smolders like a fire

And burns with scorching heat

Consuming all that we desire

And leaving us incomplete

It starts as a small flame

But quickly grows and spreads

Until we can't contain

The rage that's in our heads

We lash out in frustration

At those who dare to cross us

With words and deeds that signal

That our temper is a loss

We may feel justified

In our righteous indignation

But in truth, it's just our pride

That fuels our agitation

We must learn to control

This anger that consumes us

And find a way to let it go

Before it destroys us

For when we let our anger reign

And let it run unchecked

We risk inflicting pain

On those we love and respect

So let us take a breath

And find a way to calm

The fury that we've kept

And avoid doing harm

For anger may be natural

But it's not a force to wield

Let us choose to be peaceful

And let love be our shield.
