Stiff at first
leading to faltering
wobbly stances
falling out of choppy
uncertain spins
π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨
The only path to
connection
as friends is
letting go of ego
using core strength
to carry you through
momentum swinging
the extremities
repeating as necessary
π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨
Lean into the pocket
grab the beat
in your gripping feet
let the groove overtake
the fear of losing face
π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨
Powering clean snaps
hard pumps with instant
taut retracts
flow like water
chemistry bursting
into sick green flames
thoughts turning to claims
creating massive displays
π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨π¨β‘π¨
Finding the rhythm
in our pas de deux
isnβt a chore
itβs my passion
my joie de vivre
without our push and pull
life would merely
be a bore
just the letdown
after the curtain call
