The Forgotten

We forgive and we forget, All the important issues in life we have met.

We have been face to face with heartache and tragedy and we watch it slip away into yesterday to find a new day that is the here and now.

We pass each day and the past gets left behind. We have come to far now. But never forget the forgotten.

Time has come and time will go, history will tell you this and this I know. If you are not in the present and you come from another time, you seem to be forgotten.

But I will tell you this, I will remember you, We should remember all the fallen ones. The people that have come before us. One day it will be our time and our bell will chime.

Long are the days we sing our children nursery rhymes, we tuck them in bed with a new phone device. We don’t have the time anymore. We rush through life looking for things that are not there, we long for better things without thinking of the things that we do have.

We want more, and won’t settle for less, we break hearts and think we need the best but don’t realise all that we have should be enough, all we want is more and more.

We don’t even recognise ourselves. We work too hard and have little time time to relax. Money is hard to come by and we break out backs for every cent we have.

We work just to get by from week to week, we starve and don’t have much to eat. But we get by somehow, someway. We have lost our way. Others have it worse that us.

We have become a world of mistrust. We never know who to turn to anymore.

Our feelings have fallen to the floor, and beneath the mounds of dirt and dust.

We are filled with greed and lust. We must stand together you and I.

We must learn to grow and expand our wings and fly away, help others and let it be how it all use to be.

Can we rewind the hands of time? Go back to a different point of our lives , go back when things were new? When it was better for me, and better for you.

We must never forget. The forgotten.
