The Forest

Deep into the woods of my soul, a beautiful sprinkling of shine blasted the world.

With negative tongue and carelessness projecting all around and through the forest, the shine became dark and dusty.

Soon, the shine's last flicker amidst the strong red glow of the heart lied completely gray.

The webs of branches grew thicker as the years grew longer, weighing my mind down like a concrete block.

Failing in the plan I thought was before me, growing insecure.

The forest inside of me was no longer green and flourishing,

The bright red glow of the heart was clouded.

There was only an ashy remanence of bark and crumbling leaves of brown.

Until one day, the cloud of black tar began lifting from the depths of the forest.

It took months, years even, but the heaviness of the tar was difficult to remove.

But it continued to rid itself more and more.

The built up plaque from years of darkness began to detach and vanish.

The red glow of the heart began to beacon onto the soul.

Hesitant at first, the trees did not know what to do.

But the lush, blue restorative raindrops from the sky began to cascade, bringing the forest's bright green leaves to life and the rich brown bark to health.

The shine from the forest became brighter and more spirited.

The tree trunks began to shed it's pallid bark and became stronger and mightier and energetic.

The branches grew longer and sturdier and more confident, finally able to support the life all around it.

The foundation grew courageous and renewed.

Soon the birds were chirping and deer were frolicking through the colorful brush.

Flowers of pink, blue, purple, and orange started to cover the ground.

The black clouds vanished into a stunning blue sky

And a vibrant yellow from the sun's glow cast a warmth over the forest.

The forest grew electrifying with a bronze-like glow vivaciously sparkling beyond the trees, influencing it's inner beauty into the surrounding landscape.

Humbly shining bright, projecting all of it's vivacious colors and shimmering sparkle into the neighboring world.

Being noticed for the first time in a long while, a rebirth of a soul once filled with toxins,

Sprouting it's confidence, spreading it's delight, and growing more abundant with the guidance and brilliance of the daylight's wisdom, goodness, and forgiveness.
