Red is the passion of love, Orange intermixed up above; Yellow shows the hope of us all, Green gives us strength to stand tall; Blue gives us calm from the siege, Violet, our royal prestige; While more, so much more can be said, We all need the passion of red.
A tapestry of color surrounds us, for all who are willing to see; our skin our voices our likenesses and differences, so beautiful and vast as the sea.
These colors within us ebb and flow each in our own unique stream, yet these are things that should bring us together in harmony, rather than divide.
As light flows through the falling rain, we see the harmony of colors in a rainbow, tightly knit in breathtaking wonder, always in perfect symmetry, never separating.
This phenomenon is ever-present.
Always.
It is during inclement conditions, when the sun pushes through, when the beauty and presence of this unity is revealed.
What do we hold in our hearts? This is the most important thing.
Do we love? Do we hate? Are we bold? Are we timid? Are we accepting of things we don’t readily understand, or are we harsh and critical?
We can love others and accept our differences.
The next time you see a work of art, a painting, for example, take note of the variety of colors, the varying hues and brushstrokes, without which there would only be a blank canvas.
What, then, would be the point?
