The Five Senses: A Blessing Beyond Compare

Exploring the Wonders of Sight, Smell, Touch, Taste, and Sound

By David ChangPublished 3 years ago 1 min read

In the world we live in, we have five senses,

Each one unique, with its own defenses.

The sense of sight, so precious and clear,

It helps us see colors, and shapes that appear.

The sense of smell, so powerful and bold,

It brings memories back, of stories untold.

The scent of a rose, or freshly baked bread,

It takes us back in time, to moments long dead.

The sense of touch, so gentle and kind,

It lets us feel textures, both rough and refined.

The softness of fur, or the warmth of a hug,

It reminds us of love, and the safety of snug.

The sense of taste, so rich and diverse,

It lets us savor flavors, both sweet and perverse.

The tang of a lemon, or the richness of cream,

It brings us pure joy, like a beautiful dream.

The sense of sound, so vibrant and alive,

It fills our ears with melodies, that make us thrive.

The chirping of birds, or the sound of the sea,

It fills us with peace, and sets our souls free.

Our senses are gifts, that make us alive,

They bring us joy, and help us thrive.

We must cherish them, and use them with care,

For they are a blessing, beyond compare.
