The First to My Heart

A poem of first love

For the first time your eyes met with mine

It was just one glance that touched me like angel wings

You gave me a reason to fall from the sky

For once in my life darkness escaped my prison

Darkness no longer wraps around me like a blanket

You replaced him and now I want you to stay

Our love gifted us a forbidden chamber

We go down the stairs

The candles watch us whisper secrets

I never felt the craving for more discoveries of you

I want you to love me and to be loved by only me

As selfish and selfless as it is,

I want you and I want you to want me

Whoever you may be I accept all of you

A love so secret, a kiss intended to be pure

For the first time, I no longer exist for myself

I found my purpose and my purpose is you

The heating passion of love pulls me closer to you

I’d kiss you even if your lips would burn me

I’ll love you with a love more heavenly than paradise

Take me with you wherever you go

I’ll walk on the edge to protect you

Your touch is now my tattoos bleeding with love

For the first time your eyes met with mine

For the first time my eyes never let you go

My heart beats and I let go of darkness for you
