Insanity rules

I believe it always has

We have mastered the fuel

conceal ourselves, with a mask

*

endure long intervals of sane

once observed by Poe

Such a horrible fate

let the craziness go

*

Release all of societies normal containments

unlock the restraints of their half-wit "restraint - ments

Be who you are, no holds barred your derangement

enjoy what you will, while you are able to claim it

*

The definition of normal, is to conform to a standard

the standard you sell, really raises my dander

Typical, common and out right, ordinary

does not sound like the life, I want chosen for me

*

So, keep your traditional, unremarkable dribble

the run of the mill, routine, basic and simple

I've one life to live and I plan to live - on the edge

because life should scrawled - outside the lines of average

slam poetry

From at least when I was in college, I have opined that sanity is defined as living within the norms. But the norm today is to be different. So, if you're normal, you're crazy & if you're crazy, you'll fit right in.

  • This was so powerful! I loved it!

There's a fine line between mental health and insanity.
