The Final Embrace
A Reflection on the Façade of a Hollow Existence

A smile displayed, a weary face;
Soon to fade, without a trace.
When laughter fades, it ends in disgrace;
It's overplayed, this damn rat race.
A part I've played, so full of grace;
A fickle charade, a hollowed space.
Emotions frayed, hearts interlace;
As my world cascades, a spiral staircase.
A community betrayed, a stampede, a chase;
A cause portrayed, without a base.
People degrade as they set the pace;
Tearing apart what we can't replace.
Dreams delayed, ambitions misplaced;
As doubts invade, too dark to erase.
Tonight, I prayed from a lonely place;
In hand, a blade—my final embrace.
