The Fight

When the fight still goes on

By Abigail SulfridgePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

How is it that I’ve lived this life

A life that shouldn’t be lived

A life that shouldn’t be this hard

My blood beats red

The color of my life

I see red all the time

Because of crossing the line

They all crossed the line

The line so blurry

It puts my head in a flurry

Ah, how wonderful life should be

And it is

For most people

But for me

My life shall remain hard and cruel

Red is for those who hurt me

Red is what they will one day see

Red of my anger

Red of my sorrow

Karma is a cruel master

But why be so jealous

Of the lives of the spoiled

They don’t deserve happiness

They only deserve karma

And karma they will one day see

I see streams of blue

Blue is the color of my sadness

Blue is the color of my pain

Pain for the moments

Where my body was not my own

My body my choice

Yet the blues don’t seem to care

I now fight for my body

I now fight for my soul

But who cares really

Because it’s really all up to me

Hurray for my happiness

Hurray for my anger

Hurray for my sadness

Hurray for my sorrow

They all see a reject

They all see a fighter

They all see an open wound

They all see me
