The Fiercest Warrior

Rebirth from the ashes

By Midnight BluePublished 5 years ago 1 min read

I used to write of beautiful things,

Love and hugs and sweet reminiscing.

Your soul, my soul as one we become

Into this world, our love has only begun

In tatters is that schoolgirl dream,

Fairytales, stardust and midsummer night's;

My belief in forever,

Things worth fighting for,

You and I against it all…

Pardon me for a moment

As I pick myself up off the floor…

Slowly, painfully, the reality has come

I have realized the lies,

That speak of rainbows and butterflies lifting in flight, taking my heart with it,

Along with my mind.

No more, no more I say!

My heart, my soul, can take no more!!

The walls are built and steadily fortified,

The safe is uncrackable.

Try if you dare, you mere mortal

Are not enough to approach,

Not reproach me and my security

No, no longer shall I be devoured

By Love's sweet lies and promises.

The heart that has endured,

Dark and encapsulated,

Hardened and worn.

She shall no longer seek approval,

No longer feel ashamed,

She is no longer your plaything,

No Sir, you've awakened her Rage.

Now the world will hear her truth

And feel the sting of her tongue.

Run away dear children, RUN!

Hell hath no fury they say,

As a woman scorned and laid to waste.

The first part I must admit,

There is some validation too,

The latter though…

They have all wrong,

She was never laid to waste…

Only laying in wait,

Bidding her time,

Building her world,

Amassing her Strength.

Are you prepared, Dear World?

For here is the Fiercest Warrior

That only abuse, neglect and pain

Could create.
