The Fear of Snow

Frozen in the desert

In Tucson it has been known to snow

Every once and a while

So if through the snow you can’t go

Do we need a snow plow

No one processes a set of snow chains

Snow tires they do not sell

But the drivers still would complain

All over town they scream and yell

Drifts of snow on the roads

Though which you could not pass

Trucks with important loads

Would not move very fast

In the city you be stuck

A problem of high rank

You would be out of luck

Jammed in some snowbank

If yourself trapped you found

What would you likely do

Could you get out and walk around

If you made cactus snowshoes?

To survive would you make

An igloo to hide in

What precautions would you take

In a situation that’s so grim

Piles and piles of cold white snow

Everywhere would be a such a pinch

With the temperature so low

It would be piled up by the inch

To be rescued there’s no way

No one could come save me

It would be such a bad day

Inches of snow there would be

Snow in Tucson is quite a sight

As to a halt grinds the city

The desert bound in inches of white

Would be very bad
