The Fading Photograph

A faded photograph, worn and creased,

A moment captured, now forever ceased.

Your smiling face, a bittersweet refrain,

A love that's lost, a lingering pain.

I trace your features, etched in time,

And wish I could rewind, make you mine.

But time marches on, with relentless stride,

Leaving me with memories, where tears reside.
