Nocturnal Reflections A Journey through Shadows and Hope

Beneath the waxing moon, I stroll by night,

Pondering on mortal existence, for all around

Are faint, elusive forms that beguile the sight,

And snares hide in shadows on the ground,

Dim sparks of radiance, sporadically there,

Peek through, leaving the deathly air to bear.

The trodden earth echoes a sound of dread,

A hollow resonance, as if on graves I tread!

And lights, promising welcoming homes ahead,

Appear distant, fading like hope misled.

A mournful breeze sweeps the vast terrain,

The expansive sky whispers a chorus of pain.

With uncertain steps, I continue my quest,

Observing stars that mark the passage of time,

Until the feeble light that leads me west,

Fades away, and a new era will climb,

Like another existence, a luminous day,

Unfolding over me in an ethereal array.
