The Even World: Finding Beauty in Numbers
Poem by KiwiArticles

He lost his eye, and with it went
A world of sight, so vast and grand.
Now all he sees are numbers paired,
A strange new vision in demand.
Where once he saw the sun's bright rays,
And trees that swayed in gentle breeze,
He now sees only even digits,
Two, four, six, and eight with ease.
At first it was a shock to him,
To see the world in such a way.
But as time passed, he learned to love
The order in which numbers sway.
He sees the symmetry in life,
The patterns that we often miss.
And though he cannot see the colors,
His world is not one of bleakness.
For in this new and strange dimension,
He's learned to find a kind of peace,
Where even numbers bring him joy,
And troubles seem to find release.
So though he's lost his eye's clear sight,
And sees the world in ways unknown,
He's learned to find a beauty there,
And make this world his very own.
