The Eternal Nile

A journey down Egypt's timeless river.

By Wan NabePublished 5 months ago 1 min read

Oh Nile, the river vast and wise,

Beneath the sun and ancient skies.

You flow through sands, through time untold,

A lifeline born of myths and gold.

Your waters speak of pharaohs' reign,

Of temples grand and sacred plains.

You carried dreams on boats of reed,

And gave the land its life, its seed.

The desert bows to your embrace,

A ribbon blue in endless space.

Through every twist, through every bend,

You whisper songs that never end.

The pyramids, they watch you still,

As currents weave through valley and hill.

A silent witness to all you’ve seen,

From ancient past to modern sheen.

Through famine, feast, through peace, through strife,

You’ve borne the weight of Egypt’s life.

A timeless soul, a sacred stream,

A poet’s muse, a dreamer’s dream.

Oh Nile, eternal, bold, and free,

A river carved in history.

Your spirit flows, your story lives,

A gift the earth forever gives.
