The Eternal Gaze of Sonder
Prompt- You are travelling in a foreign city for the first time and on the train you are with a blind woman and she tells you to describe the scenery outside.
There is beauty in the world we see, the sky gleams through the radiance of the evening hues of the sunset.
The train halts at the destination that glistens with the hustle and bustle of different travellers who are on a quest, some to find peace, joy, and excitement and others to find a purpose.
A ray of hope, a guiding light you could call it to be, which makes them find themselves. There is a commotion of vendors, hawkers, women adorned in beautiful sarees, men trying to find the right compartment and their families patiently accompanying him.
There is a shop that sells water and books, the one who knows a lot about the area and he is joyously talking to the outgoers. And as I turn my gaze from them to you.
I say the golden hour’s ray of sunshine dripping through the cacophonies of your beauty, silently whispering to tell me to let you know, that You are so beautiful and the world is a better place because the light that you radiate exists.
