A world eroded by terror,

the crow caws for thee,

the vulture strips your bones,

whilst the raven sings you to sleep.

You hang onto life so dearly,

though the sun left earth long ago

to rot under moonlight,

oh, how we once worshipped

those pearly beams.

The soil crumbles beneath your feet,

an infested mix of dirt and ash,

still you toil forth,

a quest embarked without destination,

each step extinguishing hope.

But what else is there to do?

Apocalypse survivor, what is there left?

And so face to face with nothingness,

the crow caws for thee,

the vulture strips your bones,

whilst the raven sings you to sleep.
