The end is near

As if the beginning ever was

All efforts as if the last

When survival the only concern

Remember the face of a girl

Smiling while eating ice cream

Tell me it makes sense

Even though it doesn’t

My actions are for not

Yet hold a blackhole’s worth of weight

So what of every day

As I hold on to chaos for comfort

Everything fades away

At the mid of darkness

I see no reason

Until the sunrise

Each turning of the world

Births a new paradigm
