The Encounter
Your Ignorance Was My Bliss (A Poem of Love)

The first time I laid eyes on you, I instantly thought, "how magnificent”. My heart wanted to jump straight out of my chest and straight into your hands.
I lost control over my body, as your perfume completely captivated my senses. Your eyes glowed with passion and acute intensity.
You made me a coward and gave me courage all within one glance. What a dilemma I found myself in!
Should I go over there and speak to her? Should I wait for a more ripened time? These were the thoughts that can through my head as you stood across the room, and my fortunate eyes saw you for the very first time.
I was in love with you, and I knew why. You reminded me that perfection exists within an imperfect world. Then, as if you could sense my admiration from afar, you began walking in my direction.
I could feel the vibration of every step you made with profound accuracy. So I began scrambling, searching my brain for the right words to convey my indescribable emotions. Still, I didn't want to scare you off with such sentiments.
The moment finally arrived, and you were right in front of me. My mind raced with thoughts of our unison. Impulsively I wanted to kiss you right there and then.
Your scent was intoxicating. You smelt just how you looked, delightful. You finally spoke to me, and I didn't hear a word.
It was as if your voice had cast a spell on me. I was no longer in control of myself, and you were oblivious to your own mysticism. Your ignorance was my bliss. I never wanted to lose that feeling, so I made you wife.
Fast forward to the present day, and it was the best decision I ever made.
