The faster things need to get done, the more expensive they become,

When planning for life of which only the Savior has won.

In absence, the more I consume,

All this food and yet I’m running on fumes.

Filling a void I could easily repair,

I look into it and find something's there.

Deep within I wonder at what I might find,

The yearnings and wants of an educated mind.

A black hole being pulled to the past and propelled into the future,

But discovering what’s in the present is a shaky venture.

How is it easier to live where something doesn’t exist?

In the past and the future, today’s logic dismissed.

This is not unique or moving, everyone can feel this way.

However, my choosing to stop is what I pray.

That I don’t fret my time away day by day,

That in this moment, I unload my burden and choose to stay.
